Cookie Policy

Tracking Technologies & Local Storage Management

Bothive uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Cookies") to manage authenticated sessions, preserve user preferences, and optimize the execution of the Pulse Engine UI. This policy provides detailed information about why and how we use these technologies.

1. TYPES OF COOKIES ENFORCED

We classify our Cookies into three high-security tiers:

Strictly Necessary

Essential for authentication (Supabase tokens) and security. These cannot be disabled as they prevent session hijacking.

Preference Cookies

Remembers your HiveLang editor theme, sidebar orientation, and language localization.

Technical Analytics

Anonymized telemetry to track rendering performance and potential API bottlenecks.

2. LOCAL STORAGE & INDEXEDDB

In addition to standard Cookies, Bothive utilizes Local Storage to cache large HiveLang templates and IDE state. This reduces network overhead and ensures a low-latency development experience. Local Storage data remains on your machine and is not automatically synced to our servers unless you explicitly "Commit" a template.

3. THIRD-PARTY IDENTIFIERS

We strictly limit the involvement of third-party trackers. However, the following external services may set transitionary cookies during usage:

  • Stripe: Sets fraud prevention cookies during the checkout process in the Hive Store.
  • Google/GitHub: Sets temporary session cookies during the OAuth 2.0 handshake.

4. NO ADVERTISING SELL-THRU

Bothive does not participate in cross-site advertising networks. We do not use Cookies to serve third-party ads or to track your browsing habits across the web.

5. CONTROL MECHANISMS

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept essential cookies, you will be unable to access the Bothive Dashboard or manage your Agents, as our session management depends on these technical markers.

6. GLOBAL COMPLIANCE

This policy is designed to align with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
